This convening brought together over 60 individuals, including ACCME members and annual meeting participants from across the country and Illinois-based adolescent health stakeholders. Participants represented health and hospital systems, medical schools and societies, associations and training organizations, state and local health departments, schools, social service providers, and community-based organizations. Exploring Collaborative Opportunities
Participants brainstormed youth, local community organizations, and others that could be engaged in the planning and teaching of continuing medical education (CME) focused on the four topics of Opioids, HPV, STIs, and Mental Health.
The activity referenced the TAG Health Care Professionals Action Steps, which can be found on page 19 of the online PDF of the TAG 2018 Playbook. The Playbook features suggested Action Steps to improve adolescent health and healthy development for six other professional categories, as well as parents/other caregivers and young people themselves.
