Metro
The Hyatt Regency is located right at the Bethesda Metro Station on the Red Line.
NOTE: There are major changes that are happening on the Metro Red Line, so if you plan to use Metro during the meeting, please read below.
The Red Line is running in two separate split segments from July 6 through September 6, 2026, due to major summer construction. Trains are closed between North Bethesda and Friendship Heights, with free shuttle buses replacing service at Grosvenor-Strathmore, Medical Center, and Bethesda stations.

Train Schedule
During this period, Red Line trains will operate every six minutes during the daytime and every ten minutes during late night service in two segments:
- Between Shady Grove and North Bethesda
- Between Friendship Heights and Glenmont

Shuttle Bus Information
- Local Shuttles: Stop at North Bethesda, Grosvenor-Strathmore, Medical Center, Bethesda, and Friendship Heights (average travel time 10 minutes between stops).
- Express Shuttles: Run directly between North Bethesda and Friendship Heights (average travel time 26 minutes).
- Frequency: Shuttles run every 5 to 8 minutes during regular rail hours and use dedicated bus lanes on Rockville Pike (MD 355).

Travel Information
REAL ID
You will need an unexpired U.S. government ID (driver’s license, U.S. Passport, etc.) for air travel purposes. If using a driver’s license, it must be a REAL ID. You can verify if your driver’s license meets this requirement because it will have a star on the top corner of the card. More information can be found here.
Transportation to the Hotel
Uber, Lyft, and taxis are easily accessible from all three area airports (Reagan National, Baltimore-Washington International and Dulles International airports). Reagan National is the closest airport to the hotel and is also on the metro line (NOTE: see information about metro construction). A trip planner can be found here.
National Airport (DCA)—11 miles (Approximately $35-$45)
Dulles Airport (IAD)—23 miles (Approximately $60-$70)
Baltimore Airport (BWI)—34 miles (Approximately $85-$95)
Ride App Pickup Zones and Taxi Zones:
All three airports, DCA, BWI, and IAD all have Ride Share App Zones and Tax Zones.
National Airport (DCA) Ride Share Pick-up Location
- Terminal 1: Customers can meet their ride on the third (outer) curb.
- Terminal 2: Customers can meet their ride on the Baggage Claim (Arrivals) Level -1st Floor on the outer curb. Please select Zone 1 through 4
Dulles International (IAD) Ride Share Pick-up Location
- The 3rd curb is located on the ground level outside of Baggage Claim, accessible via Doors 2, 4 or 6.
Baltimore (BWI) Ride Share Pick-up Location
- App-based ride services pick up and drop off passengers along the outer curb of the Departures/Upper Level between Doors #5-12. Crosswalks leading to the outer curb are located near Doors 5, 8 and 12.
Meals
Due to Federal regulations, we cannot provide complimentary food at meetings. There are several restaurants in the hotel, as well as many restaurants and cafes within close proximity of the hotel
Food Outlets within the Hotel
- Unrestricted Coffee: Open 6:00 am – 10:00 am, Mon-Fri.
Hotel lobby market with espresso, lattes, cold brew, plus fresh cold-pressed juices. Also serving croissants, muffins, yogurt parfaits, fruit cups, or breakfast sandwiches. - Brown Bag: Open 7:30 am – 2:30 pm, Mon-Fri.
Featuring farm fresh ingredients for breakfast and gourmet sandwiches, soups, salads and healthy, fresh options on the go. - Agora Bethesda: Open 4:00 pm – 10:30 pm daily. Newly opening restaurant in the Hyatt, serving Mediterranean and Middle Eastern small plates.
- Morton Steakhouse: Open 4:30 pm – 9:30 pm daily. Serving USDA prime aged beef, as well as fresh fish, lobster, and chicken entrees.
