Dear Colleagues:
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) welcomes you to the 2017 Annual Investigators Meeting of the NCI Alliance for Nanotechnology in Cancer to be held on the NIH Campus, October 3-5, 2017.
The Nanotechnology Alliance has been committed to incorporating nanotechnology-based materials, devices, and tools into cancer research and care. The program has brought together a talented, multidisciplinary research community to develop new solutions in assay diagnostics, in vivo imaging, and multifunctional therapeutics. Several of these technologies are entering clinical trials and are expected to benefit the patient community.
The upcoming meeting is organized around several thematic elements of current interest in the cancer nanotechnology field; specifically, schemes of nano-enabled strategies for crossing biological barriers, targeting metastasis, and diagnostics for high-throughput screening and measuring response to therapy, as well as touching upon future target areas and clinical translation. We expect that this thematic focus will stimulate productive discussions and lead to new solutions and collaborations in these areas.
We would like to extend sincere thanks to those who contributed to making this meeting a reality: all of the participating investigators, committed program officers and staff at NCI, and meeting planners at Capital Consulting Corporation.
We look forward to seeing you in October!
