Seminar Description

The seminar will highlight promising practices and current partnership efforts to address suicide among adolescents and young adults. Utilizing the Office of Adolescent Health Framework, Think, Act, Grow (TAG) Five Essentials for Healthy Adolescents, participants will learn comprehensive and practical approaches to suicide prevention.

This day-long event will consist of plenary sessions, panelists and subject matter experts from diverse sectors. Through partnership with State, local and community partners, OASH Region 7 will have satellite sites throughout the four-state region to engage participants who are unable to travel to the main location.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn about comprehensive and practical approaches to addressing suicide prevention among adolescents and young adults utilizing the Think, Act, Grow (TAG) Framework.
  • Engage and network with youth suicide prevention service organizations in a regional effort to reduce suicide deaths among adolescents and young adults.
  • Gain insight into promising and innovative practices to address mental illness, and enhance screening and treatment of suicide behaviors among adolescents and young adult.

Who should attend:

  • Youth Suicide Prevention Resource Centers, youth organizations, youth church leaders, coaches, social workers, school counselors, health professionals, public health workers, and mental health staff.
