Hotel Rooms
A block of rooms has been reserved at The Palmer House Hilton hotel for the nights of March 13, 14, and 15, 2017, at the rate of $137/night plus tax (single/double occupancy). To make your hotel reservations, please call 1 (800) 445-8667 and specify you are with the “HPOG Roundtable Meeting.” The deadline for making your room reservations at the meeting rate is February 14, 2017. After this date, the room rate will be based on availability.
The hotel offers overnight self-parking for $19 and overnight valet parking for $23 per night per vehicle.

Food and Drinks During the Meeting
Due to federal regulations no food or beverages will be provided; however, there is a restaurant at the hotel as well as many restaurants, cafes, and stores nearby.
Travel
Two airports serve the Chicago area
- Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD):
Located 18 miles from the hotel. Travel time is approximately 35-60 minutes from airport to hotel. - Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW):
Located 11 miles from the hotel. Travel time is approximately 25-40 minutes from airport to hotel.
There are several ways to reach downtown Chicago from each airport:
Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD)

Train
When taking public transportation from ORD, take the Blue Line train to Monroe/Dearborn stop. Take Monroe east to the hotel. The Palmer House Hilton is on the south side of the street. Average cost is $2.25 per ticket.
Shuttle—GO Airport Express
GO Airport Express offers daily, door-to-door service between ORD and the city. Operations begin during the early morning hours with departures approximately every 10 to 15 minutes from each terminal. The fare to the city from ORD is approximately $33.
Pickup Location: Shuttles pick up passengers outside the baggage claim area in the innermost lane of the lower level roadways of the Domestic and International Terminals. Advance notice is strongly encouraged.

Taxicab
The average taxi fare from the airport to downtown is approximately $35-$40 before gratuity. Taxi stands can be found at the lower level curb outside baggage claim at each terminal.

Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW)

Train
From MDW, take the Orange Line to downtown. Get off at the Adams/Wabash stop. The Palmer House Hilton is on the west side of Wabash Avenue. Average cost is $2.25 per ticket.
Shuttle—GO Airport Express
GO Airport Express offers daily, door-to-door service between MDW and the city from 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Departures are about every 15 minutes. The fare to the city from MDW is approximately $27.
Pickup Location: GO Airport Express is located at lower level Arrivals door #3 on the inside lane. Advance notice is strongly encouraged.
