Nursing and Professor of Biomedical Informatics at Columbia University
Suzanne Bakken, PhD, RN is the Alumni Professor of Nursing and Professor of Biomedical Informatics at Columbia University where she directs the Center for Evidence-based Practice in the Underserved and the Reducing Health Disparities Through Informatics Pre- and Post-doctoral Training Program. She has conducted federally funded research at the intersection of informatics and vulnerable populations for 25 years and published more than 200 scientific papers. Dr. Bakken is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, President of the American College of Medical Informatics, and an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine.
