Lana Moriarty serves as the Director of Consumer eHealth at ONC, where she provides strategic vision and leadership to the Consumer Team – striving to empower all consumers via technology to be active and equal partners with their care team members in decision making and managing their health and wellness. Prior to serving in this role, Lana focused on improving the provision of health care to the nation’s most underserved communities by supporting the many participants of the National Health Service Corps and NURSE Corps. Prior to HRSA, Ms. Moriarty was with the World Bank Group, where she worked as a Gender Specialist to ensure the needs of women and girls were included in the Bank’s overseas development operations. Prior to that, Ms. Moriarty served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the West African countries of Benin and Togo, where she focused on HIV/AIDS education and prevention, and rural community development issues. Ms. Moriarty holds a Masters of Public Health from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Trade from Auburn University.
