caNanoLab Hands on Demonstration Session – 2015 Nanotechnology Alliance Kickoff Meeting

Prior to the caNanoLab Hands-on session, please provide the name and contact information for the data coordinator or participating representative for your award, along with a publication from your organization that is directly related to your funded work for submission into caNanoLab, to Dorothy Farrell (farrelld@mail.nih.gov) and Stephanie Morris (morriss2@mail.nih.gov). Your award representative will be using the selected publication to submit data into caNanoLab during the Hands-on session, so they will need to request an account to login to caNanoLab. Instructions for requesting an account are given below. The publication does not need to cite the new Alliance award.

As a reminder, data deposition into the caNanoLab data portal is a term and condition of award for the CCNEs and IRCNs, and CNTC T32 members are encouraged to deposit their data in the portal as well. caNanoLab is designed to facilitate information sharing across the international biomedical nanotechnology research community to expedite and validate the use of nanotechnology in biomedicine. caNanoLab provides support for the annotation of nanomaterials with characterizations resulting from physico-chemical, in vitro and in vivo assays and the sharing of these characterizations and associated nanotechnology protocols in a secure fashion.

To request an account login:

Navigate to: https://caNanoLab.nci.nih.gov
Select “Register for a login account” in the pull-down list on the right hand side of the caNanoLab home page under USER ACTIONS
Complete the User Registration Form
Once you receive your credentials, Select “Login to submit data” on the right hand side of the caNanoLab home page under USER ACTIONS
Verify that you have successfully logged in by reviewing the top menu bar which now has additional options. Select the Samples menu item and verify that there is now an option to submit a new sample.
